We had already brought to your notice that we are planning to arrange a ?Knowledge Management Program? at Neelan Matriculation Higher Secondary School in our Head-Quarters Nidamangalam by January 2008.With your support and encouragement we have organized the event and made it a great success. Here is a summarization on the happenings in the event.

Profile of the Speaker Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy

Srinivasan is the son of Mr. Ramaswamy (native of kumbakonam, now residing in Chennai), and the grandson of Mr. Krishnaswamy (a native of Valangaiman). After acquiring his B.E degree in Computer Science, he worked at PCL and BHEL for a year, before flying to USA in 1990 for a MS degree. Subsequently he pursued his PhD in 1994 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana.

Since then he had been a professor in various Colleges and Universities and is currently the Professor and Chairman of Computer science Department at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, Arkansas – the state of former US president Bill Clinton. He used to visit and interact with High School Students, Teachers and Parents on Mathematics, Science and Engineering education and their impact on a student?s future career.He has nearly 100 publications in International Conferences and Journals and is very active in several research areas.

The day 29th December, 2007

Mr. N .Asokan Secretary of Neelan Matriculation Hr. Sec School, the President of the ?Tiruvarur District Matriculation and Matriculation Higher Secondary School Federation? and Our Managing Director Mr. N. R. Saravanan formally extended a warm welcome to Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy and his family members. The students from 8 schools had gathered in the auditorium well around 9.30 am with curiosity and eagerness about the proceedings of the event.

Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy and his family members broke into emotions at the sight of sweet kids studying L.K.G in the school welcoming them with Bouquets and cute smiles.

All the chief guests were adorned with ?pon-adai? on behalf of ?Tiruvarur District Matriculation and Matriculation Higher Secondary School Federation? and Arichuvadi trust.

Mr. N. Ashokan delivered the welcome speech formally inviting all the students, Principals, Teaching and non Teaching staffs from various schools for the conference. Smt. N. Sharadha, Inspector of Matriculation School Thanjavur region addressed on the student?s attitude in facing the examinations and preparing for the same. She also continued her lecture on how to build a strong attitude in facing board examinations and time management. Mr. U. Neelan, the correspondent of Neelan Matriculation Higher Secondary School in his speech, brought out the importance of education for the survival and the role of parents and teachers in molding the career of the students. He concluded his speech highlighting on the importance of the conference and how students should gain the maximum benefit out of it.

The stage was then set open for our star Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy to conquer. He developed a good interaction with the students well from the beginning. His enchanting speech which sailed across the minds of the attendees was blended with thought provoking statements, comics, jokes and of course some of his experiences in USA.

In the mean time, attendees were provided with snacks and tea on behalf of ARICHUVADI.

After an intuitive lecture, he was very eager to interact with the students personally. Although the interactive session began slowly,sometime later questions flooded from every part of the gathered crowd.

The auditorium burst into claps and laughter when a L.K.G kid who gave bouquet to Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy raised a question in Tamil in a very cute manner as,

Mr. Srinivasan Ramaswamy answered many witty questions, with a usual trade mark smile even when some questions went too personal regarding his loyalty to India. His answers not only justified his position but for sure knocked the minds of the young people. After sharing everything he had for the students, he thanked everyone for such an event.

An extremely special talk was arranged on behalf of Mr. U. Neelan, the correspondent of the school, to boost up the students. The person was none other than Mr. Naga. Durai Arasu who had been invited to deliver a hilarious speech to energize not only the students but also the entire gathering and he did it as always in his own style.

Our Managing Director Mr. N. R. Saravanan who took over the mike, cited his experiences, quoted wordings of great personalities, interesting facts about studies and beautifully fused them into the young minds. Our Coordinator Mr. Vijay Ganesh busted out into emotions when he talked about ARICHUVADI, its FOUNDER, its achievements and its targets.

Our Action Team had made perfect arrangements for the function well in advance. Their hard- work all day and nights had turned in some ideas. Our team had arranged

Snacks and Tea for all the attendees

Our Board Members and Executive Directors came with the plan of giving Pamphlets about Arichuvadi to the Students and the attendees. Designing a Pamphlet with rich contents doesn?t seem to be so easy with only 3 days of time in hand. But we took the challenge and came out with one. The pamphlet though may not be the best but earned great applauses as many attendees responded with a positive note.

We Thank the ?Tiruvarur District Matriculation and Matriculation Higher Secondary School Federation? for accepting our invitation and joining hands with us. These people and their overwhelming encouragements have boosted our spirits and we bound to arrange more of such events in the near future in other areas. Thanks to the Press people, as they spent nearly 6 crucial hours to get us 500 copies in spite of their bulk printing orders for the New Year. Then Thanks to the Neelan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, for their enriching support. Friends, you could find their dedication and interests from the way they organized and conducted the event. We extend out cordial Thanks to the Correspondent Mr. U. Neelan, Secretary Mr. N.
